Modern keyboard/VGA adapter for NeXT systems. DB-19 input, accepts Non-ADB and ADB keyboards (for turbo systems). VGA output for mono systems.
This is a keyboard and VGA interface for NeXT systems. Plug in your NeXT DB-19 cable and this converts mono video to VGA, letting you use your NeXT systems with a modern monitor. It also lets you use your Non-ADB or ADB keyboard and mouse without needing the expensive and hard to find soundbox.
VGA Output for mono systems (color systems can still use the keyboard ports)
Non-ADB and ADB keyboard ports (ADB only for Turbo stations that support it)
Supports NeXTcube and NeXTstation systems
Works with NeXTUSB for USB keyboard/mouse support
Caveats:
No sound. This version passes the system sound tests but doesn't have any sound output, it only handles the keyboard and VGA.
Does not support early cubes (NeXT Computer) with power supply part number 152 unless they have been modified to run without the monitor.
No cables included.
These are now using 3D-printed DB-19 connectors since the supply of "real" ones appears to have run out. They work well in our testing so far, but we recommend leaving the DB-19 cable plugged into the NeXTBox and minimizing the number of plug/unplug cycles.
